GET TO KNOW US

God called me (Stephanie) to Africa at the age of 10 years old. It was always a passion of mine that I held closely to my heart. It was prophesied over my life four different times that God had called me to Africa. The last prophecy was in the summer of 2009. Shortly after that was my first trip in January 2010. Aaron took his first trip in the summer of 2010. We had known each other for some time, but seeing his passion for the people of Africa was just confirmation that we were meant to be together. Together, we found a place where we felt alive. There was such a spiritual release when I finally stepped foot onto this beautiful continent known as Africa. And it’s been home ever since.

WHAT IS SOMETHING YOU WISH (AMERICAN) PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT MISSIONARY LIFE?

Missionary life can be tough for our families. Not being home for special occasions and holidays. Families missing grandkids’ birthdays. It’s tough not being able to be there when a family member passes or goes through a difficult season. We miss out on a lot. But we wouldn’t trade it for anything to have the opportunity to pursue Gods call in reaching the people of Africa.

WHAT DO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY LIKE TO DO FOR FUN?

We live in the bush, so there’s not much for fun around our area. The closest movie theatre is almost 3 hours away. But we absolutely love going on safari. Taking time to enjoy the beauty of God’s creation in a land that has captivated our hearts.

BESIDES THROUGH BOOTS ON THE GROUND INTERNATIONAL, HOW CAN SOMEONE CONTACT YOU AND/OR KEEP UP WITH YOUR MINISTRY?

We have a website you can visit for updated information and photos. We can be found at www.reachafricamissions.com. We are also on Facebook beneath Kufikia International. Our email address is reachafricamissions@gmail.com
