Taking a short-term mission trip achieves:

Exposure to the needs and plight of others around the world. This ignites a passion, like few other things can, for urgency to spread the Gospel and see others come into the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. It also allows for people to meet the missionaries face to face and see their environment first hand. This brings awareness to the needs faced by missionaries around the globe. It also allows the team members to create lasting relationships and friendships with the missionaries they get to work alongside.

Support by recharging and empowering missionaries with fresh hands, feet, and muscles to do aspects of the ministry that they cannot accomplish alone, such as large event outreaches, service, building projects, etc. Short term teams are vital to accomplish the ministry objectives of the long-term missionaries.
